I recently received an armband from Tomoson Reviews for me to review. This arm band is perfect for the iPhone 6 or the Galaxy Note 4, which is what I used to test it out.

Even with a rubber case on the phone it still fit into the armband, which is a bonus as many armbands you have to remove the case to use them. The band fit snug around my arm, and stayed in place while doing a light jog. It is made of a soft material that didn't irritate my arm, and kept my phone dry when I started working up a sweat (it is 80* out!).

Since I have been on a workout kick lately I had to acquire some new items to make working out a bit more easier and fun. So when I seen these items on Tomoson available for reviews I applied. What better way to get new stuff than for free.
Because I have rather large biceps, wish it were due to muscles, I need a band that is bigger than normal. All of the ones I have found have been very very sung on my arm, if they fit at all. Another issue I have with armbands is my phone. I have an Samsung S6 and it doesn't fit into very many bands, especially with the case on, But this one solved both of those problems! It comes with an extender, meaning it will fit someone with even bigger biceps than me. And my phone, with case on, slides right in. The only other band I have seen made for n S6 was at Target for $35, so at less than half that price this one is a steal.
While it was much easier to workout with my music connected to my arm, the headphones still got in the way at times. To solve that I got these bluetooth headphones and never looked back. They were easy to connect, sound great, and stayed put in my ears while running. It did take a bit of getting used to the cord on my neck, it kind of felt like something tickling me. After a few minutes of trying to swat it away I got used to it. Since my hair is always up and I am in a tank my neck is usually bare.
These are also able to be controlled by voice, which was useful when pairing it with my device. For some reason pushing the button wouldn't connect it. But once I gave the voice control it started flashing and paired right away. And thankfully they do have Right and Left labeled on them, as I wasn't sure how to put them in my ears at first since they do have a curve to them.
They do block out a lot of the outside noise, even just putting them in my ear with out music playing quits the outside. When I am on the treadmill and J is home sometimes I wear them in just 1 ear so I can still hear him. Overall they work great and I am glad I was able to try them out.

Last week we received a new toy in the mail, it was a Makers Studio Propeller Set. When J seen it he was excited to start building it.
You use the parts provided, along with some recyclable materials, to build things that contain propellers. The day we got it I didn't have anything to use except a toilet paper roll, which is used to make a Windmill. J really wanted to make the helicopter, but I didn't have a Pringles can. So we set out to make the Windmill. While the directions state to use a toilet paper roll, I believe that it is to small. I had some trouble getting it together, and it wasn't something J would be able to do on his own. But he enjoyed helping me place all the pieces.
Once it was together he sat and played with it for a minute.
While it seems he didn't enjoy it to much for the video, he did set up a farm with all his toys around it. He says you find windmills on farms so he had to build it one. He had the animals walk around it, stand in front of it to feel the air it produced, and had the farmer spin it to make electricity. So he did get several hours of play out of it after it was built.
Several days later I picked up a little Pringles can and we worked on building a helicopter. J was super excited and couldn't wait till it was finished to play with it. This one held up a lot better as the can is much thicker than the toilet paper roll. The kit comes with a tool to put holes in the can, which was very useful. The instructions were easy to read, and it didn't take to long to put together. The instructions state it is for age 7 and up, so J is a little young to do it on his own. But it was a great kit for us to do together. It is also something he will be able to learn to do on his own, and continue building different planes.
It also comes with a little book that gives you ideas on how to expand your play. J is to young for this, but it did give me ideas on things to do for his age. Hence learning that windmills can produce energy, and him having his farmer "hook it up" to produce energy. We really enjoyed building our Propeller items and I look forward to seeing J expand on what came in the kit. This will be something he can use for many years.

He says it is very comfortable and won't let me use it because it is his and not mine. I really like that I can throw it in the washer and it won't lose it's shape, and that it is chemical free. Another big selling point is that it is made in the US, I really like supporting local businesses.
