boy...

A friend found this cute sign on etsy but it was $28. Well I may not be the most crafty person but I knew I could re-create it much cheaper.

So I did.

And it cost me less than $10. Really way less than that because I only used a small amount of the glue, paint and sealant. So I have plenty of that left for future projects. And a friend cut the letters out for me using her cricut machine, I really need to get one of those, so that didn’t cost me anything.  

Now I just need to decide where to hang it. Either above his closet or window.

Surprise!

A few weeks ago my mom told me that she was invited to a VIP event at the casino for this Saturday. We’ve gone to a few of these so I thought nothing of it, other than she did tell me it was a secret event and no one knew about it. Although I was suspicious I didn’t put to much thought into it.

So I arrive at her house to pick her up at 6:30 last night and she tells me we have to drop a gift off to her room mate who is at a party, she said she forgot it. So we are driving down the road and she tells me what road I need to turn on. Well the road is one that a co-worker lives on so my brain started turning, then I asked her the house number and she tells me and I knew it was her house, as I was just there last week.

As I’m pulling up I see all of my friends cars and knew it was a party. They were throwing me a surprise baby shower! I tell you I have the best co-workers and friends!

Of course no one thought to bring a camera so one of the girls was using my phone to take pictures, most of which are blurry or have her finger in the shot. But I had a great time and we got some awesome gifts. Although I feel somewhat stupid as I had been talking with them all about the shower my cousin is throwing, thinking they were coming to that. But it is just a family shower. I even asked them last week if they got their invites and they told me yes, silly girls sure can keep a secret, lol.

Even my 2 best friends didn’t let it slip and I had lunch with one on Friday and the other on Saturday. On Friday we even went to Target and added stuff to my registry and still nothing. Good job keeping quiet girls, lol.

I can’t resist cute baby clothes

I had to get dog food today so I ran into Kmart, well while I am there I have to stop at the baby section. I came across these cute onesies and just had to have them. Mr.B hasn't seen them yet as he is sleeping for work tonight, but I can't wait until he does. He is a tad nerdy and likes Star Wars, Superman, Batman, Transformers...ect, etc, etc... He himself has Superman t-shirts, so I know he is going to love these for his little man. They also have a Batman set so I'm sure I will get those the next time I have to run into Kmart.

But can you blame me...they are super cute. And I love the middle one that is the suit with the belt...so.stinkin.cute.

Baby Tees….funny or oh so wrong?

I received this email the other day titles “Why husbands shouldn’t pick out baby clothes”. I have to admit I LOL’d at a few of these and think it would be funny to put my child in them.

Would you allow your children to wear these?

And I have to say the one in the “They shake me” tee is so stinkin cute! Just his little expression and big eyes, adorable!

And this last one, Whoa, she looks frightened. Poor baby girl.

Why wannabe moms shouldn't shop.

I got lost in the baby section a few days ago.

I try not to spend much time there as I see so many cute items I just have to have. But a friend is having a baby and I wanted to get her something. So I headed to Target and two hours later I had half a cart full.

I didn't even realize I had put so many items in the cart, in fact I'm not even positive that I did. Although I did love everything that was placed in my cart by this mysterious person. But I knew there was way to much there for me to buy. So I took the challenge of sorting through everything and deciding what to get her.

They are doing their little munchkins room in monkeys. So I knew the Rainforest Collection was on the top of their baby registry and I was right. Although you would think it would be easy for me to buy anything from the rainforest collection, it really wasn't, because I wanted it all.

I had also ordered her a Nursing Cover from Uddercovers.com
