iPhone 6 or Note 4 Armband Review

I recently received an armband from Tomoson Reviews for me to review. This arm band is perfect for the iPhone 6 or the Galaxy Note 4, which is what I used to test it out.

Even with a rubber case on the phone it still fit into the armband, which is a bonus as many armbands you have to remove the case to use them. My new favorite scissors.

I recently received these awesome stainless steel scissors from Evergreen supply. These are professional 9 inch high carbon stainless steel scissors. They come packaged in a nice box and pre-oiled. They are heavy duty, sharp, and have a rubberized handle making them comfortable to use. 

I have had several projects I wanted to get started on, so I was excited to test these out. So far they have worked wonderful! I have cut many pieces of fabric, paper, cardboard, and even a plastic container. These scissors had no issue cutting through all of it. 

While I have only had them a couple weeks they have remained sharp and have yet to let me down. I have a feeling these scissors will be around for quite some time, and I can't wait to put them to use on my next craft project.

My New Workout Gear.

Since I have been on a workout kick lately I had to acquire some new items to make working out a bit more easier and fun. So when I seen these items on Tomoson available for reviews I applied. What better way to get new stuff than for free.

Because I have rather large biceps, wish it were due to muscles, I need a band that is bigger than normal. All of the ones I have found have been very very sung on my arm, if they fit at all. Another issue I have with armbands is my phone. I have an Samsung S6 and it doesn't fit into very many bands, especially with the case on, But this one solved both of those problems! It comes with an extender, meaning it will fit someone with even bigger biceps than me. And my phone, with case on, slides right in. The only other band I have seen made for n S6 was at Target for $35, so at less than half that price this one is a steal. 

The next item on my wish list were Symaxio Wireless Bluetooth Headset with Microphone And Voice Guidance  

While it was much easier to workout with my music connected to my arm, the headphones still got in the way at times. To solve that I got these bluetooth headphones and never looked back. They were easy to connect, sound great, and stayed put in my ears while running. It did take a bit of getting used to the cord on my neck, it kind of felt like something tickling me. After a few minutes of trying to swat it away I got used to it. Since my hair is always up and I am in a tank my neck is usually bare.

These are also able to be controlled by voice, which was useful when pairing it with my device. For some reason pushing the button wouldn't connect it. But once I gave the voice control it started flashing and paired right away. And thankfully they do have Right and Left labeled on them, as I wasn't sure how to put them in my ears at first since they do have a curve to them.

They do block out a lot of the outside noise, even just putting them in my ear with out music playing quits the outside. When I am on the treadmill and J is home sometimes I wear them in just 1 ear so I can still hear him. Overall they work great and I am glad I was able to try them out.

Makers Studio Propeller Set

Last week we received a new toy in the mail, it was a Makers Studio Propeller Set. When J seen it he was excited to start building it.

You use the parts provided, along with some recyclable materials, to build things that contain propellers. The day we got it I didn't have anything to use except a toilet paper roll, which is used to make a Windmill. J really wanted to make the helicopter, but I didn't have a Pringles can. So we set out to make the Windmill. While the directions state to use a toilet paper roll, I believe that it is to small. I had some trouble getting it together, and it wasn't something J would be able to do on his own. But he enjoyed helping me place all the pieces.

Once it was together he sat and played with it for a minute.

While it seems he didn't enjoy it to much for the video, he did set up a farm with all his toys around it. He says you find windmills on farms so he had to build it one. He had the animals walk around it, stand in front of it to feel the air it produced, and had the farmer spin it to make electricity. So he did get several hours of play out of it after it was built.

Several days later I picked up a little Pringles can and we worked on building a helicopter. J was super excited and couldn't wait till it was finished to play with it. This one held up a lot better as the can is much thicker than the toilet paper roll. The kit comes with a tool to put holes in the can, which was very useful. The instructions were easy to read, and it didn't take to long to put together. The instructions state it is for age 7 and up, so J is a little young to do it on his own. But it was a great kit for us to do together. It is also something he will be able to learn to do on his own, and continue building different planes.

It also comes with a little book that gives you ideas on how to expand your play. J is to young for this, but it did give me ideas on things to do for his age. Hence learning that windmills can produce energy, and him having his farmer "hook it up" to produce energy. We really enjoyed building our Propeller items and I look forward to seeing J expand on what came in the kit. This will be something he can use for many years.

My First Tomoson Review

I have recently signed up with Tomoson to do product reviews. It is a great way to score some free stuff, in exchange for your honest review of the product. They have a TON of products on their site to apply for. Being new it took a week or so until I got my first product approval, and since then I have gotten several more. It's really awesome getting a package in the mail every couple of days, especially when it was free!

The first thing we received was a Calla Pillow. Little man loves pillows, and this one is a cute toddler sized pillow. From their description:

The minute I opened the package J ripped it out of my hands and claimed it as his. He sleeps with it most nights, or uses it when he is kicked back on the couch on his tablet. He says it is very comfortable and won't let me use it because it is his and not mine. I really like that I can throw it in the washer and it won't lose it's shape, and that it is chemical free. Another big selling point is that it is made in the US, I really like supporting local businesses.

Onion Goodness

I love receiving free stuff in the mail, so when I was contacted by Onion Crunch to do a review I was delighted. Once my package arrived I was excited to try something delicious with them.

So I decided to make pork chops and coat them in it

And a side dish of green bean casserole topped with extra Onion Crunch.

They both turned out great! The Pork chops were moist with a great crunchy onion flavor. The only thing I did was rinse them with water and then coat with the Onion Crunch. I didn’t use eggs or milk to help them stick, the water was enough.

The Green Bean Casserole was also excellent, and still crunchy the next day for left overs. Usually I use another brand of onion toppings and they are always soggy the next day, so I was surprised that these were still crunchy.

A few days later I sprinkled these on a baked potato and it was also great.

John also loves these and ate one of the small packages as a snack, being he loves onions I wasn’t surprised he loved these as well.

I haven’t been able to find these in my local store, but as soon as I do I will switch to this brand over my current one. I like the stay fresh packaging these have and their ability to remain crunchy. They are also made with 100% real onions. So they have a great onion flavor and don’t just taste fried.

“Man this is good”

We eat a lot of frozen pizza, but I mean who doesn’t? I will admit that we usually buy the $1 single serve pizza’s as we really aren’t that picky. Until now. I was given the opportunity to write about Freschetta FlatBread and with that came free pizza coupons.

So the first night we decided to give them a try Mr.B went to the store and picked up the Supreme Pizza Amore:

Let me tell you this pizza was great! I’m not sure if I will ever be able to get Mr.B to eat another frozen pizza. He loved it and ate 3/4 of the pizza himself. A week later we decided to try the Naturally rising supreme pizza and the Pizza Amore Pepperoni:

Brace yourself for a medley of flavors. Sausage, green and red peppers, pepperoni and onion top this tasty crowd pleaser.

Your taste buds will rejoice with this combination of both spicy and mild pepperoni slices. It’s the best of both worlds

Now I will say that the naturally rising one was not as good as the Pizza Amore…but it was still pretty good. The Pizza Amore’s crust was what won us over I think. It had a naturally sweet taste and was perfect.

I think next we will try the flat bread as Mr. B loves thin crust pizza. That was actually his first choice but the closest grocer to us doesn’t have a large variety in stock, so next time we go to Walmart or Meijer’s I think we will pick up a few.

As for frozen pizza goes I do have to say this brand is a tad more expensive, but you can find a coupon for $1.00 off here. Also if you figure in how good this pizza is it’s also worth it. It’s definitely our new favorite.
