Some of you know that I work for a hospital at their Urgent Care Center, well we had CMS (The Center for Medicare Services) come and do a survey a few months back. We had a few small issues that needed to be taken care of throughout the main hospital and our Urgent Care. Well if these issues were not resolved 100% we could lose our Medicare and Medicaid funding which meant our facility would most likely close. With the way our economy is these days the thought of our center closing was kind of scary. Not only becuase I'd be out of a job but also because I've been here since the day we opened our doors.
So the last few weeks has been very busy with policy changes, typing up new policies and changing the way we do things. It's just been very busy and very hectic.
But CMS came this week and WE PASSED! With flying colors might I add. They were very impressed with the changes we made and how quickly we fixed our issues. It's such a big relief to finally be done with the what if's.
So I begin my 3 day weekend with a big sigh of relief!

Little Stellan is still in the hospital but is doing much better. As of last update he had been 15 hrs without a bout of SVT. So hopefully this means he's on his way to recovery. Check out Mckmama's blog for more updates on this little guy.

It's always a relief when they surveyors are gone. That's great that ya'll passed and got compliments on all your hard work. I work at a hospital and always hope that I wont be working when JACHO decides to make an appearance.
