I do know, but could totally not know.

Have you ever seen the show I didn't know I was pregnant? I have watched it many times and often wonder how one could not know they were pregnant. Even now, when I'm not really looking pregnant, have now lost 15lbs since becoming pregnant and don't feel pregnant I know I am. For the simple fact that Jr wakes each evening about 10pm and throws a party until 8am when he goes back to sleep for the day. And I have an anterior placenta which means it took longer and is harder for me to feel movements. But other than that I could totally see myself as one of those girls.

Sunday evening I had another episode of bleeding. This time much heavier and bright red. I called the OB on call for my doctor and he told he me to head to the Birth Center if it continued or call my doctor in the morning. Well it slowed with in the hour so I headed to bed and called the office in the morning.

They had me come in immediately for an ultrasound, which thankfully was perfectly normal. He did an exam which also was normal. He did see signs of bleeding still but had no clue where it was coming from. He stated that maybe Jr was kicking my placenta, but mine is nice and high, so that is probably not it. He was/is at a loss as to why I am bleeding.

But this is my 4th time having this problem. Mr.B asked if it were happening around when my monthly cycle would be due, I guess he was paying attention to the TV shows when I had them on, lol. But I guess it kind of is, as the last time was around 20 weeks and this time at 24 weeks. So another reason I could have been on I didn't know I was pregnant. Although I know that you can't really get your period while pregnant and it is called break through bleeding. But since it's coming every few weeks I could see how someone could mistake it for that each month.

My OB is very concerned that I am bleeding, even though he can't find a reason. He asked if I should be taken off work, in which I told him no. My job isn't one where I am on my feet a lot so I don't feel it is necessary yet. He told me that I am to take it easy, no lifting or excessive standing. If I have another episode this week then I will be taken off work for at least 1 week on strict bed rest with only bathroom privileges to allow my body to rest.

He also mentioned that I could just be one who has this problem every few weeks, and as long as they don't find a reason, it stops in a short time frame and is weeks apart then I can continue working. Which so far it has been, and hopefully it continues that way. I am not ready to be taken off work or put on bedrest. I fully intend to work up until his arrival if allowed, but if my doctor recommends me being off I of course will do as needed to keep Jr baking until he is ready.

I could have been one of those women, too! Up to a point! I didn't even take a test with Jaina until I was already 8 or 9 weeks pregnant, only because a co-worker saw me faint at work. I still didn't FEEL pregnant whatsoever, or really, no symptoms that couldn't be explained away!

You could have some sort of blood vessel near your placenta that keeps popping. This happened to my friend Rachel. Scary, but not worrisome!

Oh, hon, how scary! It would scare me, too. But the docs seem to be watching you closely. Be sure to take it easy if you need to!
