I've lost a few lbs I had gained back so I'm still down about 14lbs pre-pregnancy weight. Excellent for someone overweight like myself.
My BP was 110/81. Excellent for someone with high blood pressure.
J's HB was 131, which the doc did say was lower than his normal but still with in normal range. Which of course worried me some, but as long as I keep feeling him move I won't worry to much.
He then took a look at my blood sugar results and said they were excellent. He said that since I failed both tests I do have GD, but it is obviously very mild. I told him that I only had 1 high reading, on the day I got the monitor, and it was when I had a cherry limeade with lunch. So I've cut out all sugary drinks. He said that maybe that was all I needed. I also told him about having cake and ice cream at work the other day and my BS being 94 afterwards, which is pretty good for someone who is supposed to be diabetic. So he said that since my numbers are so great I no longer need to test 4x a day!! woot woot
I do still technically have GD, and am considered high risk so I still have to see him every week. But I only have to test my BS a few times a week just to make sure they are still in a good range. Also if I feel tired or any different after eating or have a sugary treat I should test then as well.
Since GD can get worse the farther along you get I still have to keep an eye on my numbers just to make sure they aren't getting high. But my fingers are so so so happy that I don't have to poke them so much!
After my appointment I went to Walmart and got some excellent deals. I found 4 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, a body suit and a shirt/overalls outfit for $12! Talk about some excellent sales!
Tomorrow is my baby shower and I couldn't be more excited! I can't wait to celebrate J with my family! I'll be sure to post pictures!
