Batman: The Dark Knight

On Saturday we went and seen Batman: The Dark Knight at the Imax theatre. Even though the movie is long, about 2.5 hrs, I did not want it to end. Heath Ledger is mesmerizing and truly great as the Joker! He deserves an Oscar for his performance. I could not take my eyes off of him while he was on screen. His performance is stunningly wicked and creepy, but great! Aaron Eckhart should get kudos for his performance as well. And Christian Bale plays Batman brilliantly. Maggie Gyllenhaal did a great job as Rachel, even though I would have loved to see the return of Katie Holmes. All in all the entire cast was really great. The story was deep for an action hero movie, with multiple plot lines and moments that made you question your morality. It was beautifully filmed in stunning scenes that made Gotham City look just epic. I love how they kept a lot of the images of buildings untouched, knowing where it was shot made it great. I could actually point out the Sears Tower, and the train station I had recently visited. We left the theatre with our monies worth, vowing to return for another showing! Definitely worth 10/10
