Is it really June already?

I can't believe it's the 1st of June already! This year is going so fast! But June is my favorite month so I've been waiting on it's arrival. See tomorrow is my birthday, and I'm going to be 29! Wow! Did I really just say 29?!?!?! I can't be that old, can I?!?!

So I'm entering the last year of my 20's. Then comes, gulp, the 30's. Ugh I shudder every time I think about it. I remember being a teenager saying how 30 was so old, and I'll never be that old. Ha, here I am, 366 days away from the dreaded 30.

But as I enter year 29 I'm going to have a new outlook on life. I think I'm going to make a list of 29 new and exciting things I'd like to do before hitting the big 3-0. Nothing to extravagant as I'd like to be able to complete the list. But hopefully some exciting things.

I'm still trying to decide what I want to do for James' birthday this year as his is June 4th and he will be 32, any ideas? Cause I'm at a complete loss, the man gets almost everything he wants. I'm sure I'll come up with something, but I guess I better hurry as time is running out.

I was thinking maybe we'd skip gifts for both of us this year and just go out to a nice dinner on the 3rd. Save our money for our trip we're planning next year. But James didn't seem to keen on the idea, he wanted to go to dinner and get me a gift. And who am I to argue with someone wanting to buy me a gift?

This weekend went super fast! Saturday I sat outside for a bit then grilled us some hot dogs for lunch. In the evening we cleaned the house and then I drank nearly a whole bottle of wine myself. But it a very good tasting Exotic Fruits White Zinfandel. We stayed up late playing Gears of War on the Xbox so I slept in late on Sunday.

When I did get up I went out with my step mom. We stopped at a flower sale and she got me a nice hanging basket for the front yard, then we went to Horrocks and she got me a double Sheppard's hook to hang them from. We then went to lunch and sat at the restaurant for 4 hours talking! I can't believe we sat there for 4 hrs!!! Good thing it was a buffet so we didn't have a waitress hounding us. But it was a good day and a nice weekend. In fact it was so nice I wish it wouldn't have ended.

But it's Monday and I'm at work. I am thankful for having a job, but sometimes wish I didn't have to come here for it. Then I have to work tomorrow even though it's my birthday :( But I'm of after that until Saturday. So at least it's my short week.
