Week 17 has finally arrived. Which means we are one week closer to finding out if we will be team pink or blue. I feel like it’s taking forever for this day to get here and I hope baby will cooperate. We are excited to get started on the nursery and have already picked out paint colors. I can’t find the paint swatches or I’d show you what colors we picked. We are going with either pink or blue but they are both very light shades of each color.
I’m also trying to decide if I want to just do it a solid color or maybe do some stripes on the bottom or possibly 2 shades of color. I’m sure I won’t make that decision until we decide on a theme. Which I still am at a complete loss on that. I was hoping to pick a boy theme and a girl theme but haven’t been able to pin point one yet. I’m sure once I know it will become easier.
We did purchase our crib last week, we decided on the Graco Lauren 4 in 1 in Espresso. We really wanted to go with Cherry but Meijer had this one on sale so espresso it was. Now I just need to order the matching changing table which I found to be the cheapest at Walmart.com and they have 97 cent shipping. Mr. B wants to put it together now but I told him we should probably wait until we paint. He obliged but wasn’t happy about it, I’m glad to see he is excited about putting the nursery together.

Week 17 copied from Pregnancy Guide
Fetal Development: This is a period of rapid growth as the fat begins to form underneath the baby's skin. Baby and placenta are about equal in size now. The tiny heart is pumping as much as 25 quarts of blood a day! The reflexes are probably in place now as the baby sucks, swallows and blinks.
Maternal Changes: Your uterus is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches below your belly button. The baby is going through a growth spurt and chances are, you may be gaining too! Average weight gain is between five and ten pounds at this point.

Baby's now the size of an onion!
Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. His umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes now feature one-of-a-kind prints.

how have you been feeling?
I just realized that you are at the same point in your pregnancy as my friend Becca is! I just babysat her daughter this morning so she could go to her 16 week check up (late). They aren't doing her u/s until 20 weeks so she has to wait even longer!
Stopping by from ICLW. I can't wait to start my nursery too but I'm only 8w3d so awhile to wait yet before I launch in. Hope baby cooperates for you!
Man, really want to know how can you be that smart, lol...great read, thanks.
