Today is the day, the day of our BIG ultrasound. In a few short hours we will hopefully find out if we have a little Luke or Leia growing in mommy’s belly. We are over the moon excited and can’t wait! As long as he or she cooperates then everything will be fine. Thoughts for wide spread legs is needed here, and I’m sure this is the only time in my child’s life I will be saying that.
Other than the extreme joy I am feeling right now I have been feeling great. I’ve had a few days of nausea and lots of food aversions, nothing sounds good or after a few bites I’m done with it. Last weight check in I was down 12lbs so obviously I haven’t been eating much. I still haven’t developed a baby belly but I did notice my jeans were a tad tighter this morning so maybe I am starting to grow. I know I shouldn’t rush it and towards the end when I’m as big as a house I’ll be eating those words (along with everything else), but I really do want to look like I’m 18 weeks pregnant and not just fat.
I mentioned last week that we had purchased our Crib on sale at Meijer, well this week they had the same crib at Target but it came with the matching changing table free. That’s a savings of $80! So Mr.B took the one we purchased back to Meijers and picked up the other from Target. We only saved $60 because the crib was $20 more there, but any savings is better than none!
Well I think that’s all I have for an update right now. Time to use the bathroom one last time and then start drinking my gallons of water, and some orange juice to give Jr a burst of energy. We want to see some dancing in there, lol.
As usual here is my weekly update, this time from the Pregnancy Guide:
Fetal Development:
Our little one is nearly half a pound now and very human looking. Pads are forming on the fingertips and toes, and the eyes are looking forward rather than out the sides of the head. Meconium, the baby's first bowel movement, is accumulating within the bowel. If your baby is a boy, his prostate gland is beginning to develop.
If you notice your belly making jerky movements in sync, don't panic; your baby may have the hiccups!
Maternal Changes:
Feeling dizzy, lightheaded or faint are normal during pregnancy. These symptoms aren't harmful unless they occur frequently or severely. "Postural hypotension" is low blood pressure due to a change in position and happens frequently in pregnancy because your cardiovascular system doesn't react as fast.
Your uterus is just below your belly button now.
If you're having an ultrasound to verify fetal age or for other reasons, your care provider will probably schedule it between now and 20 weeks. It's often possible to determine your baby's sex at this stage, and you'll be able to tell arms from legs and all sorts of delightful details!
Fetal size from TheBump.com:
Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccupping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

update, update, update.Did you know there is a test at walgreens and maybe even walmart for $34 that tells the gender at 10 weeks. A friend took it and it said boy and the next day she found out by ultrasound it was a boy
I pray the ultrasound went well!
Great news on the deal with the free table!
I hope your ultrasound went well, I will have to pop back by and check. Congrats to you! **ICLW**
