Get it here first!

Coming in September is a new fragrance by Fergie made exclusively for Avon. I have a bunch of samples and I think it smells wonderful! I even ordered a few more packs of samples because I’ve been wearing it, and I need some to hand out.

It is going to debut in Campaign 21 (I am currently running campaign 18) for $28, but I have a special deal for all of you. If you would like to purchase this perfume now (over a month before any one else) I will offer it at a 25% discount, that’s just $21 and a savings of $7! This would make a great Christmas present, and you know there are only 133 days until Christmas.

If you are interested in this offer please email me at Wheresmyavon@live.com, be sure to include your paypal address so I can send you a statement. If you do not have paypal don’t worry, you can mail payments to me as well. Orders will be submitted on August 26th, so I would need to hear from you by the 25th to insure delivery with this campaign.

But don’t worry, I will still offer this deal with campaign 19, it will just be another 2 weeks you will have to wait for the item. This offer includes free shipping within the US...sorry to my Canadian friends but I would lose all profits if I didn’t charge you for shipping.

We don’t celebrate Valentines day.

We believe it’s just a Hallmark holiday and feel you should show love all year round, not just on a specific day. So during our dating years we never said anything more than “Happy valentines Day” and went about our day like any other. But I did request we celebrate it the first year after we were married, but I wanted to celebrate every thing the first year after we were married. I mean it was our first as husband and wife.

Last year, our 2nd year being married, I knew Mr. B had bought me something so I went and got him a card and some little thing he wanted. Nothing big, cause we weren’t even supposed to be celebrating it. But to my surprise he had bought me a dozen roses, a box of chocolates, and a card. To which he said “hmm, somebody’s gift is better” I didn’t know it had turned into a contest, lol. My response was “we don’t celebrate Valentines day so I wasn’t prepared” So apparently we now celebrate it.

This year I had to work, but that didn’t stop Mr. B. He brought me this adorably soft teddy bear with chocolates attached:0214001605  A single red rose, and the cutest balloon: 0214001622He says he hates my obsession with collecting frogs, yet he keeps buying them for me, hmmm. I know the picture is blurry cause I took it with my phone, but it says: you’re un-frog-ettable! Bee mine and You make my heart flutter. awwww

So after work I ran to the store to pick up some dinner items, as I decided I was going to make a delicious dinner for my husband*. One of his favorites actually. Here is our table all set and awaiting our steaks to come off the grill:0214001950 I guess Mr. B has come to realize I take pictures of everything. So as we sat down and fixed our plate he said “hey, you better take a picture of this” I was like “good idea” So I snapped a picture of our completed dinner:0214001953 Meijer’s had Boneless Ribeye's on sale half price, so we got some really big steaks. In fact, they were so big neither of us could finish them. We also had sautéed mushrooms in Au jus sauce and shrimp scampi. And no steak dinner is complete with out mashed potatoes and gravy. And we got all of this at probably half of what it would have cost us to have steak and shrimp at a restaurant. And it was made with love. One thing I love about steak night at our house is it’s a joint effort, I make the sides and Mr. B grills the steaks.

After dinner, and a few glasses of wine, we played the new Super Mario on the Wii. Just enjoying each others company.

Yup, this was a Valentines day to remember.

So do you celebrate Valentines day? If so…How did you celebrate this year?

*He also received a bag of pistachios, I knew he’d like those better than chocolate and some Microsoft points for his game system. He was happy with my gift choices, lol.

Baby Tees….funny or oh so wrong?

I received this email the other day titles “Why husbands shouldn’t pick out baby clothes”. I have to admit I LOL’d at a few of these and think it would be funny to put my child in them.

Would you allow your children to wear these?

And I have to say the one in the “They shake me” tee is so stinkin cute! Just his little expression and big eyes, adorable!

And this last one, Whoa, she looks frightened. Poor baby girl.

I need a GPS!

I can travel around our little city no problem. I don't think there is a spot in town I can get lost at. But yesterday we had to take my sister to a concert in the next city over. Well we usually travel to this city for dinner at Olive Garden or other much better restaurants that we don't have here. So I can get to those places no problem, but finding the arena, now that was a problem. I had written directions but didn't print off a map, so once I was off those directions we were lost.

It wouldn't be so bad other than half the city is one way streets or every few miles split into 2 roads or change it's name. I don't know how anyone lives there and gets around. I mean I've driven in Orlando and Chicago and didn't need maps for either places after 1 trip through the city. I've been driving to this city since I was 16 and still can't figure it out beyond the 2 main roads I almost always visit.

So I've decided I need a GPS, well I've always wanted one, but now I need one. Any one want to buy it for me?

But as I plan to purchase one of these in the future, hopefully sooner than later, I have been doing some research. I've come to find that the Garmin Nuvi 780 is above the best out there and at such a great price at Amazon it is in a price range we can afford. All though if I didn't have to worry about price I would go for the Garmin nuvi 775/775T or the even better Garmin nuvi 1690, but they are both way above our price range, lol.

Since those are out of our price range I will just tell you about the 780:

It has a ton of features that I love. It is Bluetooth capable meaning I can attach my cell to it and use it as a hands free device.

It is MSN enhanced: An integrated receiver allows you to access enhanced dynamic content from the MSN Direct service. Check the weather, avoid traffic backups, compare local gas prices, get enhanced movie listings, stock information, news and local events when you travel with your unit. Even plan trips from the convenience of your computer, via Windows Live Local, and wirelessly send custom to your nüvi.

The nüvi 700 series is the first to answer two common questions: "Where am I?" and "Where’s my car?"

At any time, with a single tap of the screen, drivers can display their exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and gas stations. And to help drivers find their car in an unfamiliar spot or vast parking lot, the nüvis in the 700 series automatically mark the position in which they were last removed from the mount.

And another big feature is the Garmin lock. Many people worry that if someone steals your car they can just look at your GPS unit to see where you live, so they recommend putting a location close to your home instead of your home. Well with this Garmin's Patent pending theft prevention system that disables the unit from performing any functions until the user types in a specific 4-digit PIN or takes the unit to a predetermined secure location.

Those are just a few of it's great features, there are plenty more, trust me. Hopefully soon we will add this beauty to our household and I can travel free!
