Big Boy Bed!
I can’t believe my little man is sleeping in a big boy bed now! His first night was March 15th and he did great! Went right to sleep and didn’t even try to climb out.
Nap time the next day went just as smooth, although he did climb out to knock on the door and say momma a few times. He climbed right back in and went to sleep.
The transition has been a dream, I couldn’t have asked for it to go any better. Even on days he doesn’t want to nap he still stays in bed crying for us. He climbs out to grab a toy and jumps right back in. He seems to know that bedtime means bedtime, and that is really good...and lucky for me!

John’s 2nd haircut.
After I gave little man his first haircut it grew quickly and was just out of control, so we decided it was time for another cut. This time a bit more dramatic.
That’s right...it’s all gone!
It took a while to get used to, but he’s just to darn cute with or with out his curls. But I can’t wait till they grow back.

Snow Day!
Winter has arrived in Michigan. It’s been snowing and temps have been in the negatives. But today it reached 15* so we braved the weather and took a trip outside...to the deck. Little man didn’t want to come in and kept saying “sno, sno”. He loved it, but momma got cold and we soon came in for some hot chocolate.

First Haircut
Little man’s hair has gotten a little out of control and way past due for a haircut. But I always pictured him with this big head full of curls and didn’t want to cut it. But it began to look reckless and I decided it was time for a trim.
So I decided to cut it myself.
I actually mentioned to DH that we could just shave it and start all over, which he promptly jumped up and grabbed his clippers. I really wasn’t serious though, but he was all “let’s give him a Mohawk”.
I did compromise and tell him that I would trim it, and if I messed it up he could shave it.
So I sat him in a chair with a sucker and Caillou on tv and went at it.
And he looks so much older now
It’s still a bit out of control at times, but not as bad. And he still has some curls...that I love. But it looked better enough that daddy has left us alone about shaving his head, lol.

A holiday wish…
Our Christmas Card this year:
I attempted his Christmas pictures the other day, and took 50 of them. These were the only 3 that looked acceptable. Guess I’ll try again later this week.

We’re still alive!
It’s been forever since I blogged. Every couple days I say “I should really write a blog post...it’s been a long time”.
But I never seem to do it.
Until today...
So here I am, writing a blog post. Not a whole lot has been going on around here, just living life day to day. Still working and little man is still home with my mom. He is getting so big and learning so much. I love watching him learn new things, it’s amazing.
I have a ton of pictures I can share, but still need to put them on the computer. I will share with you a few pictures from John’s 1st movie debut. A local photographer did a casting call for little ones under 3 and I signed us up. He made a short 20 min movie:
John is in 4 scenes: At 7:16 you see him in the background running down the hill. At 14:33 you see a close up of just him. 18:21 he walks through all the kids. 18:35 you see him in the background walking with his bat.
We are supposed to get a disc of the movie and any stills they took that day in another week or so. I can’t wait to see what they got. John chased around one of the camera men and he was just snapping away...so we should have a few good images of him on it. I took a couple right before we headed home, so his makeup is a little wore out. But you get the gist of it and will know what he looks like to find in the movie.
Stay tuned...I promise to update more often!

Lions, tigers, and bears...oh my.
Two weeks ago we spent the day at the zoo. Little man had a blast and mommy was wore out. We met up with a friend of mine and her little girl who is 5 weeks older than John, and of course grandma and aunt Katie came along.
Visited with a very big turtle
Watched them fight over the food
Took our picture on an elephant
then decided a lion would be more fun to ride
Found these cute backpacks that allowed the kids to walk free
And then said good bye to our new friend
Both kids were asleep before leaving the parking lot. They had such a good time. Little man did so much walking I wouldn’t be surprised if his feet hurt.
